One of the things we love about working in the Museum is the partnerships we get to build with local groups and organisations, especially when they enable us to bring new events and activities to our community.
Working with Royston Environmental Group and Green Heat Coop, we’re offering draught busting workshops on Wednesday 22nd October to help you reduce heat loss at home and cut heating bills. Do you notice draughts in your home? As well as causing chills and discomfort, draughts can increase your heating bills. Draughtproofing your home is a relatively quick and easy way to reduce heat loss and cut heating bills in the winter. In this hands-on workshop, gain practical knowledge to help you draught-proof your home in order to improve comfort and to reduce energy use. Plus, they are completely FREE to attend thanks to funding from Museum Development South East – just book your space on our website.
Then for November, we’ve teamed up with Crafted Connection for crafting workshops at the Museum, including funky frames, bookmarks and some festive fun!
Our work to care for the Museum’s collections continues behind the scenes. Our volunteers have been busy working with our objects and carrying out research. Plus we’re making great progress with a project to make the collection more accessible – watch this space for further updates!
