Royston Museum – Discover Over 2000 years of Royston’s story

Discover over 2000 years of Royston’s story… by Royston Museum

As a new year begins, we’re incredibly excited by the challenges and opportunities that 2023 will bring.

As a relatively new operation under the Royston Museum Trust, we’re still very much at the beginning of our journey, experimenting, editing and refining the visitor experience and services that the Museum offers. A huge thank you to all of you who have supported the museum since we reopened in June, either by becoming a Member, attending one of our many events or engaging with our content online.

Our Museum Musings articles here in The Listing will be our little space each month for you, our community, to receive updates, news and events, and have an exclusive sneak peak at what’s happening behind the scenes.

We’re currently closed while our Curator and a brilliant team of volunteers go about organising, storing and archiving more of the 20,000 items in our collection, so it can be better cared for and accessed in the future, and we’ll reopen on Thursday 12th January. This year, we’ll be actively looking to diversify the events, groups and organisations that use the museum, so our building can become a thriving hub of activity throughout the year.

If you run a group or are looking for a unique venue for an event, do get in touch or visit roystonmuseum.org.uk for more information.
