Royston May Fayre take place on Bank Holiday Monday, 6th May 2024, in Priory Memorial Gardens, Royston from 12-4.30pm
There will be lots of fun for all the family with many different activities including children’s fairground rides, bouncy castles and miniature train rides. Come along and try out our free attractions: ‘Topper’s Circus Skills, ‘Punch & Judy’, face painting by ‘Rebels and Rascals’ and ‘Mr Crump’. Other features include the very popular Novelty Dog Show and the Historical Vehicle Show, plus many local charity side stalls.
Refreshments include a hog roast, hot dogs from the Scouts, chicken & chips, ice cream, loaded mac ‘n’ cheese, tea, coffee and cakes in the Town Hall and more, plus a licensed bar. The ‘Reuse or Return’ cups (at £1 each) were a great success last year and thanks to everyone who returned their cups. Royston Town Band will be providing musical entertainment throughout the day and Royston Community Radio will be broadcasting live again.
Royston Town Mayor Cllr. Lisa Adams said: “I am very excited for the up and coming Royston May Fayre and hope you will join me from 12noon on this special day. This is one of Royston’s yearly flagship events and there will be an array of food & drinks vans with lots of fun activities for children and adults too.
There will be stalls, raffles, prizes to be won, and raising funds for lots of local charities. We’re just hoping for that ray of sunshine to make it a perfect day for everyone.
Let’s all take this opportunity to celebrate the May Fayre together and please remember to practice sustainability, making use of the recycling bins, returning the reusable cups that will be available throughout the day, and keeping our lovely Priory Memorial Gardens as tidy as possible. Be kind, be safe.”
