Royston & District Community Transport is a local charity providing door to door, affordable transport, for residents in Royston and surrounding villages who are unable to drive themselves or use public transport due to age, frailty, impaired mobility, or do not have the use of a car.
Medical appointments are prioritised, and they also take people for other journeys such as day centres.
All volunteer drivers’ cars are DBS checked along with RDS’s own wheelchair accessible vehicles.
RDS are looking for more volunteers to join their team:
• Volunteer drivers, mileage is paid
• Volunteer admin help in the office for a few mornings a week, full training provided with expenses paid.
