Out and About… Church Services at Christmas 
One of Royston’s most iconic scenes is Royston Parish Church all lit up at night, with Christmas making this view even more special.
The large Christmas tree went up on Saturday 2nd December and members of the community are invited to hang a bauble in memory of a loved one. Last year, over 800 baubles adorned the tree.
You are all very welcome to join the congregation at Royston Parish Church for their Christmas services.
Teatime Praise for Christingle Sunday 3rd December, 3.30pm – A service especially for young children and their carers – an opportunity to think about the true meaning of Christmas using the symbolism of a Christingle orange, whilst supporting the work of The Children’s Society.
Advent Carol Service Sunday 3rd December, 6.30pm – A traditional service of Bible readings and carols which reflect the season of Advent with the hope of the coming of the Messiah.
Carol Service Sunday 17th December, 5pm – A traditional service of Bible readings and carols which recalls God’s plan for humankind from creation to Christ’s birth. The contemplative nature of this service makes it more appropriate for older teenagers and adults.
Blue Christmas Friday 22nd December, 6.30pm – A simple service of music, readings, and a reflection of God’s hope for us and presence with us in feeling what we feel. All welcome.
Christmas Eve Sunday 24th December, 10am – Said BCP Holy Communion
Crib Service, Sunday 24th December, 2.30pm and 4pm – A service for young children to think about the Christmas story – with songs and lots of fun!
Midnight Mass Sunday 24th December, 11.30pm – The first Eucharist (Holy Communion) of Christmas, with carols and sermon.
Christmas Day Monday 25th December, 10am – Sung Eucharist with Carols
