Where do you live and how long have you lived there?
I grew up in Great Chesterford, moved the huge distance of five miles to Saffron Walden in the early 90’s and have recently moved back to Great Chesterford. I have not ventured far!

What’s your favourite local place to eat?
We had our Christmas Party at Flintshack and I have to say we were all blown away by the food and drinks. The Baccus English wine was amazing!

Your favourite local Shop?
Having worked next to Dysons for 20 years, I love the shop and have a great relationship with Trevor the owner. Saying that, there are so many wonderful shops in Royston, its so hard to choose.

What is your guilty pleasure?
My Musical tastes have always been my guilty pleasure. I am an avid Country Music fan but also love a bit of cheesy pop.

What is the last book you read?
Shamefully, the last book I read was many moons ago. I have a very short attention span and find that it takes me months and months to get through a whole book.

What do you love about your work?
Running four companies means that there is always diversity in the job on a daily basis. I think I would find it much harder to do just one thing now I have been doing so many things for so many years. The people I work with also make the job much easier!

What is your favourite place in the world?
Home. Wherever I travel, for however long, be it a short business trip or a two week holiday, I always long to be home with my wife and my dogs. My wife and I have been together since school so I find it very odd when we are apart.

What is your proudest moment?
The births of my children. My eldest daughter was born very prematurely and it was touch and go for some time, so seeing her pull through and become a teacher at Bassingbourn Primary was a very proud moment.

Who do you most admire?
I admire people who have a vision of what they want and go out and get it. Whether it takes years and years or just a few months, people that do not sit back and expect a good life but work hard for it to happen. The person I admire most is Trisha Yearwood the country star, she is the perfect example of chasing your dreams and achieving them.

If you ruled the world, what would you do?
I would very quickly appoint someone else. I cannot imagine the pressure that someone who rules the world would be under!
