Meet Sue Sanders for ‘A Cup of Tea at Curwens’
Artist Sue Sanders will be at Curwens Solicitors Community non-profit Art Gallery, 17 High Street, Royston, Herts, SG8 9AA on Monday 17th of June, 1-2pm where she is having a solo painting exhibition.
Her work will then be for sale for four weeks at the Gallery, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm.
Sue graduated in science and then graduated in Fine Art as a mature student.
She uses painting, printmaking, photography, drawing; oils, acrylics, watercolour, inks, pen, charcoal and undertakes commissions.
‘Mostly my work is a representational response to the agricultural landscape.
I seek out the qualities of light and geometry from my painting viewpoints and enjoy how the machinery creates huge tracking on the soil. Also, the gleaming of the white chalk augments the visual impact.
The apparent tranquillity of the landscape gives me a sense of the concealed history of the place.’
