July Update: The Friends of Therfield Heath and Greens

The Friends aim to promote and encourage improvement and conservation of the natural environment and fundraise to support projects on the Heath.

All our events are informative, interesting and raise awareness of the unique environment of the Heath. People can be energetic by joining our long nature walks and litter picks, or be still and capture the beauty of the Heath through art or yoga sessions.

We also try to be aware of relevant issues in the surrounding area as well. When appropriate, the Friends add their voice to local planning issues when they impact on the Heath.

We also have a representative on the Royston Town Council’s Climate and Biodiversity Working Group. You don’t have to be a member to join our events, but it helps us throughout the year if you join. The kite festival is on Sunday 6th August. We plan to be there. Come and find us and have a chat about what we do.
