The Royston Wildlife Group will enjoy a high flying talk entitled ‘Swifts, Masters of the Sky’ on Tuesday 25th February 2025, presented by Clive Fleming of the Hertford Swift Group.
For many, the return of the swifts in May heralds the start of summer. However, these much-loved birds have declined by approximately 62% since the mid-1990s and are now on the red list of birds, indicating the highest conservation concern.
Clive will tell us more about this amazing bird and the efforts both locally and across the country to help its numbers recover, including what you can do to assist. It starts at 7.30pm in the Heritage Hall, Town Hall, Royston.
For RWG and Friends of Therfield Heath members, it’s just £4 per session, non-members £5. Under 18s can attend for free. Booking is not needed, just turn up.
