22nd Spring Art Exhibition at Fowlmere School…
Fowlmere School Spring Art Exhibition returns on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st May. 
Enjoy an exhibition of paintings, drawings, photographs, jewellery, ceramics & crafts by local artists. They will also have art/craft workshops across the weekend for a range of ages, children through to adults. The raffle and refreshment area will be raising money for Fowlmere School PTFA & the Beads of Courage Programme at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
The Beads of Courage programme UK supports children and teenagers through their oncology treatment. For every scan, test, chemotherapy treatment, radiotherapy session, fever, overnight stay in hospital (approx. 30 different treatments) the children receive a bead. These beads give courage to these brave children, who go through so much treatment, hardly ever moaning & mostly with a smile. These beads act as a therapy in their own right. They provide something physical that they can use to tell family, friends, care-givers & teachers about their experience during treatment. It allows the children to take ownership of their treatment journey and make sense of the experience they are going through.
