Family Fun at Royston Baby Show

Meridian School was visited by the youngest generation at the weekend, as Royston hosted it’s third Baby & Toddler Show on Saturday.

Over 300 visitors took advantage of the variety of stalls from local businesses and other organisations, who were showcasing their products and services.

As well as the stalls, families enjoyed talks and workshops from local experts and children’s activities, to keep the little ones entertained.

£494 was raised from the raffle and the sale of refreshments, with proceeds going to the Girlguiding Royston District to help them celebrate their 100 years in Royston. Girlguiding is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK, with over 500,000 members. Girlguiding gives girls and young women a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build friendships and gain valuable life skills. To celebrate their centenary this year, the organisation plan to hold a number of events for their members and the community.

Kelly Gaine of Hartbeeps, an exhibitor at the event, said:
“Another wonderful year this year, and we are already looking forward to the next one! It was well organised with plenty on offer. The show is a fantastic way for parents and carers to see, sample and discuss the local services, classes and support available to them. Thank you to everyone involved for making this year another big success.”
