Community News: Curwen’s Art Gallery, Royston

We were honoured by the new Royston Mayor and his wife’s visit at the Cup of Tea-Meet the Artist event on the 17th of June at Curwens Solicitors non-profit Art Gallery in Royston High Street.

The mayor is with Susan Sanders solo painting exhibitor in front of the Mayor’s favourite painting at the gallery.

I love Sue’s paintings about farming machinery and the countryside as I worked in plant breeding for 14 years and it is so relevant to this area.

He and his wife also showed an interest in the keepsake items made by Alex Taylor from The Hertfordshire Handmade Jewellery Company and were able to talk to her at the time of the visit.

Special thank you to Curwens Solicitors who facilitated the event, provided the tea and biscuits and helping local artists.

The gallery is open to the public Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm. This exhibition ends on the 12th of July. Please press the bell to go inside.
