Check out the blacksmiths at work in the Smithy and be entertained by the merry Morris dancers. Then recharge at Taste of Thriplow for street food and beer or enjoy hot drinks and homemade cake at our Village Tearooms. With live music being played all around the village it’s the perfect place to get some springtime cheer.

The Old Schoolhouse is a stunning 19th-century building in the heart of Royston, originally the town's National School.
The Old schoolhouse boasts many historic features combined with a modern, stylish interior.
There are two rooms available to hire. The Williams Hall is a spacious, bright function room seating up to 60. It is ideal for larger meetings, seminars, parties and events.
The Walmsley room is a quiet space ideal for private workspace, training or smaller meetings. It seats up to about 15.
The Old Schoolhouse has a fully fitted kitchen, free WiFi and disabled access throughout.
The Musical Box is a vibrant musical group for babies and young children. The group runs every Thursday during term time 11am to 12noon until 31st July 2025 in Elmdon Village Hall. Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of instruments to play, songs and marches, stories and poems plus tea and biscuits. No need to book in advance, just turn up and pay £5 cash on the door per family.
A postnatal doula provides valuable support and guidance to new parents during the postpartum period. They offer practical assistance with newborn care, breastfeeding, household tasks, and emotional support to ensure a smooth transition into parenthood. Their role is to empower parents and help them feel confident in their parenting journey.
We provide a wide range of arts and crafts activity classes for children and adults.

By signing up to our classes you and your little ones will be able to spend creative time together, develop new skills and meet other like-minded families in a safe space.
During school holiday we provide holiday clubs for children up to 11 years old.
We also offer special arty parties for those looking to for a fun way to celebrate birthdays!
Therfield Heath is an area of Common Land and most of it is a Local Nature Reserve and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It is owned by the Therfield Regulation Trust, which is a registered charity.
It is managed by the Conservators of Therfield Heath and Greens.
Around Therfield there are registered Village Greens and other areas of Common Land which are held and manged in the same way.
Our Carer Support Hubs allow you to meet with other carers, share information, support each other and chat over a cuppa.
A Carer Support Advisor will be joining us to talk about the different respite options available to carers. They will also be able to offer 1-1 support for any questions you may have concerning your caring role.
