The new season is well underway at this local golf course which is now in its 27th year. The course has withstood the winter remarkably well and in spite of the very wet weather, has been closed on only one occasion.
The club comprises two sections namely: the main club which is open to all – young and old, ladies and gents, and a senior’s section (known as the “Barkers”) which is for people aged 50 years plus.
The main club runs competitions for members most weekends, plays interclub competitions and organises one-off tournaments including charity events.
The Barkers play every Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings and during the year have a series of competitions, play matches against eleven other clubs (home and away) and organise a very popular invitation day.
