A Winter Warmer for the Community
Melbourn Community Hub has replaced its Summer marquee with a more climate equipped version, which is both heated and lit for the comfort of Winter customers. It also has a larger seating capacity and is more robust to withstand harsher weather. This is the last week of the 25% discount on food and drink offer, which comes to an end on Friday,30th October. Currently the Hub is celebrating Halloween with children’s ‘Spooky Bear’ bags which will be on offer at just £3.50. The contents will include a sandwich, crisps, yogurt tube, juice, and a Hubby Bear sticker, plus a special ‘Spooky Bear’ colouring sheet, and ‘creepy cookie’. And so as the adults don’t feel left out there is also a free hot beverage with all ‘Spooky Bear’ purchases. The cafe is suitably decorated to rflect an eerie atmosphere.
The Hub will be open on Sunday 1st. November to assist those taking part in the Melbourn/Meldreth Walking Market. With 50 stalls dotted around residences across the two villages, the Hub is assisting those taking part by offering well needed sustenance. There will be the usual hot or cold beverages and cakes, along with bacon or sausage baguettes or baps, plus smaller portions available for younger followers.
