From first library visits & half-term activities to digital skills, Halloween fun & Green Libraries Week
October is set to be a busy month. Alongside welcoming all the lovely new Reception children who are setting off on their school adventure we are launching The First Library Adventure.
Bookmarks are being gifted to all Reception children in the county via their schools to encourage them to sign up, collect stickers and be entered into a prize draw.
During the October half-term on Saturday 24th you can learn how to code the Intelino Smart Train, from 2.30-3.30pm. This session is suitable for 5-10 year olds. £4.40 per child and bookable at the library.
On Monday 26th we also have an exciting Fantasy Maps session for children aged 7-11, from 2-3.30pm, £4.40 per child and bookable at the library.
On the Saturday 31st we are holding a Halloween Badgemaking session. This is a drop in from 10am-12 noon with badges at £1 each so why not join in and check out our spooky decorations!
During Get Online Week (19th-25th October) come and chat with our Digital Champions who are here every week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings 10am-12noon. Pick up some useful tips and information to help with your everyday use of IT.

Green Libraries Week runs from 21st-28th October, with this year’s focus on Climate Facts for a Greener Future.
Join the library: Royston Library welcomes members of all ages, from babies to those over 100. Membership is free and includes access to BorrowBox for e-books and audiobooks, as well as two hours of free daily computer use.
