Following our article on Royston’s blue plaques last month, we’re publishing a selection of plaques in each issue. For September, we focus on:
The Masonic Hall – Dedicated 1924, formerly the Sunday School of John Street Congregational Church “The Old Meeting” 1843-1922
The Old Post Office – Site of the medieval hospital of St John and St James of Jerusalem
The Cardinal’s Hat – A medieval inn stood here until the 17th Century
