Conservation and preservation of the Cave and its carvings are always our priority, and because of this, we have been visited several times this autumn by Historic England.
They are assisting us with surveys and providing recommendations so we can ensure that this unique Grade 1 Listed Monument is protected from issues such as water ingress, microbiological attack or vibration.
Because of these talks it has become apparent that we will no longer be able to hold our previously popular annual candlelight tours.
However, do not despair, we will instead create a wonderful atmosphere of twinkling lights and subtle Christmas decorations, which will be an even more magical way to experience a tour of the cave.
Several time slots have already sold out, so if you wish to join us on either the 7th or 8th December, it is highly recommended that you buy your tickets soon to avoid disappointment.
