Rev Charity Tozivepi Nzegwu led the opening prayers at the Royston Methodist Church, followed by Cllr Mayor Lisa Jayne Adams’s thanksgiving address to the community for all the support.
“It has been an honour to represent you as Royston’s Town Mayor. Many Dignitaries, Mayors and Councillors turned out Sally, the deputy lord-lieutenant, said what a beautiful service. Now my year as Mayor is coming to an end, but it is not the end, a new chapter will begin as I will continue being a councillor and very much being part of our community, continue volunteering at Home-Start, also thanks to Cate Hall from the Trinity Church, the founder of Make Lunch for her wonderful testimony – Brought a tear to my eyes. An amazing 70 people attended and £121 towards my charity ‘Pathways to Learning’ & the ‘Mayor’s Community Trust’ funds.
