Royston Rotary: Young Photographer

Young Photographer

Time is running out for aspiring young photographers to rise to a challenge being set by the Rotary Club of Royston.
The club is organising a competition for up-and-coming young talents aged between seven and 17 in which each entrant will be asked to submit a photo on the theme “Colours of Nature”.

Readers may recall that this year’s winners were Olivia Frost, aged 11, from Royston with a picture titled “Blackbird”, and Jack Kirby, from Foxton, who won the seven-10 age group with a misty view of his local church of St Laurence titled “Nature co-existing with Man”.

There are three age categories for 2022 competition: junior (7-10), intermediate (11-13), and senior (14-17). Winners will go on to the next district stage and then it’s on to the national competition.

Full details are available at the Royston Rotary Club’s website: roystonrotary.com/youngphotographer.htm. The closing date for entries is Friday 14th January 2022.
