Royston First Voluntary Board Roles – Royston First is the town’s Business Improvement District (BID), delivering projects that enhance the vibrancy of Royston and support the growth of our local economy. Funds are generated from all eligible BID businesses and other organisations who pay an annual levy based on their rateable value.
Royston First seeks new Board members to join the seven current Directors and are inviting applications to join the Board.
- All Board roles are voluntary
- Applicants must have a business interest in Royston, for example, be business owners / managers from a Royston BID business, or are retired or have sold their business but are still passionate about the future success of Royston
- Key responsibilities include: overseeing the strategic direction and financial management of Royston’s Business Improvement District (BID), ensuring projects in the 2024-2029 Business Plan are delivered within budget and meet levy payers’ needs.
- The Board meet at least four times per year plus an AGM
