Volunteering Opportunities: HealthAid Royston

HealthAid Royston is seeking a trustee to take on the role of Secretary.

Originally established as Friends of Royston Hospital, the charity has since expanded its remit to support healthcare provision in Royston. It also funds grants where there is a gap in NHS provision – including therapy and counselling for children with psychological and behavioural difficulties. In recent years, HealthAid has supported the Parkinson’s Society by sponsoring walking football, and given awards to a dementia café, MAGPAS Air Ambulance, and Homestart.

The Secretary’s role involves monitoring and managing correspondence (mainly by email) relating to grant requests and trustee decisions, and taking minutes at meetings. There are just four meetings a year plus the AGM, and as a trustee, your contribution and views will be invaluable.
