Local Event: Royston Allotments Open Day – Sunday 3rd August

Ever wondered what’s growing behind the gates at Coombes Hole? Come and find out at Royston Allotments’ annual Open Day on  Sunday 3rd August, 11am–2pm!

We’ll be firing up the BBQ, slicing the cakes, and welcoming visitors to explore our beautiful site. It’s a great chance to enjoy some homegrown goodness, get some tips from our friendly plot holders, see what allotment life is all about, and maybe even pick up some ideas for what on earth to do with that mountain of courgettes!

Fresh produce from the plot, homemade cakes and hot drinks will be on sale in the clubhouse, along with delicious food hot off the BBQ. There’s plenty of space to sit and soak up the atmosphere, with gazebos to keep you covered come rain or shine.

Plot holders have been trying to grow the tallest sunflower this year. See if you can spot the contenders dotted around the site!

Entry is free and all are welcome, bring your friends and family!
