Royston’s Own Tower Flower

Royston’s Own Tower Flower

As part of the celebrations for the reopening of Royston Parish Church, the team are planning a ‘Flower Tower’ to decorate the bell tower.

The project is inspired by Barley Church who created one last year, and have provided masses of help and information.

Royston Parish Church are looking for crafters who would be willing to knit, crochet, and craft wild garden elements to decorate the netting they plan to hang from the top of the tower.

If you feel you would like to take part please just get going with your ideas!
The items need to be at least 6 inches across, and bright and cheerful…flowers, insects, anything.

No. 3 Craft Shop in the town have free patterns available to download on their website
Children can get involved too by making large pom poms.

To date, over 200 people from the town are taking part in creating items for the Flower Tower, with everyone very excited to see the Church preparing to open its doors once again.
