Royston Museum Highlights by Emma: Coming up April…

Every year, the Hertfordshire Association of Museums holds an annual awards ceremony to celebrate the work of our county’s Museums.

This year, we were thrilled to be awarded the Environmental Sustainability Award for the second year running, this time for our Green Festival, which we ran in partnership with Royston Environmental Group. Three of our volunteers, Rosemary, Sue and Janet, were also recognised as Heritage Heros for all the work they’ve done for the Museum, including their recent work to review and repack our costume collection.

We were also blown away by the popularity of our February half term activities; so much so that we’ve now introduced timed tickets for all our school holiday activities to help manage numbers in our little Museum. Thank you to all our regular and first-time visitors for the support.

Our upcoming events include:
Museum Tots – Castles: Wednesday 1st April, 9.45am to 10.45am and 11.15am to 12.15pm
Easter Holidays Come and Create: Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th April and Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th April, 10am to 4pm
