Pupils from Icknield Walk First School proudly topped the fundraising charts at last year’s Royston in Blue event – and this year, they’re lacing up their trainers once again to support Teenage Cancer Trust.
The young fundraisers are excited to return to the much-loved Royston in Blue Family Fun Run, taking place at 11am on Sunday 29th June on Therfield Heath. With determination and community spirit, they’re hoping to build on last year’s success and raise even more for a cause that supports young people facing cancer.
Royston in Blue invites participants of all ages to walk, jog or run the 5K route, dressed in blue, to show solidarity with teenagers and young adults undergoing cancer treatment. Funds raised go directly to Teenage Cancer Trust, which provides vital support, specialist nurses, and dedicated units within NHS hospitals for young people aged 13–24.
Icknield Walk’s pupils are leading by example, showing that even the youngest members of the community can make a meaningful difference.
