May is Royston Meridian WI AGM and the occasion for the Committee to present their reports. Our Secretary reminded us of the interesting and informative meetings of the past year and of the theatre trips and outings we had enjoyed, and our Treasurer reminded us of how the money is spent.
After the business was finished we got to grips with a quiz based on food, whilst enjoying tea or coffee and cakes. The cakes were donated by members and were for sale to boost our funds – all were delicious and appreciated by all those present.
Our speaker in June is Zoe Jasko telling us about her Grandmother who ran the W.V.S. canteen based in Godmanchester, which seems appropriate in this year as we are remembering VE day. In July we welcome Tom Way, a return visit of the very interesting wildlife photographer.
