Men’s health is in crisis. Men are dying on average six years earlier than women, and for largely preventable causes. It needs to change, and we can make a difference.
We can all name a man in our life who is struggling. It’s something we hate talking about. Talking about our problems is something us men are terrible at and if we are to make any progress, it needs to change. Men’s health has a huge affect on the whole family and we can do better. That’s where Movember comes in.
Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world. challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men.
This has all been possible because of public genorisity and by 2030, Movember aim to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25%. This can only be achieved through the continued support of both men and women – so here’s how to help.
Grow a Mo: The men’s health crisis calls for big minds, and big solutions. But there’s a smaller, hairier solution sitting just under your nose. Grow a Mo this November and inspire donations, conversations and real change.
Move for Mo: Run, walk, cycle or crawl 60km over the month. That’s 60 kilometres for the 60 men we lose to suicide each hour, every hour across the world. Call on friends and family to back you with a donation.
Host a Mo-Ment: Cook up a fancy dinner. Tee up a sports match. Pump the tunes at a party. Anything is an opportunity to raise funds for men’s health.
Any contribution can help.
