Home-Start Royston, Buntingford & South Cambridgeshire is proud to celebrate the remarkable career of Tracy Aggett, our cherished Fundraising Events Support Manager, as she prepares to retire at the end of March 2025.
A Journey of Dedication and Growth
Tracy’s Home-Start journey began in September 2005 when she joined the team as an Administrator. In this role, she provided essential support to the scheme manager and coordinators, becoming a vital part of the volunteer and family support network. Her exceptional organisational skills and warm, approachable nature quickly set her apart, paving the way for her progression to Office Manager. During these early years, Tracy’s commitment to the charity was evident in every task she undertook – ensuring that staff, volunteers and families felt supported and valued. In 2020, she embraced the position of Fundraising Events Support Manager – a role in which she truly became the beating heart of Home-Start.
Making Every Event a Success
Throughout her time with us, Tracy has been instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of our fundraising events and community initiatives. Whether coordinating large-scale events, managing the finer details behind the scenes, or rallying volunteers, her meticulous planning and dedication have made every project a resounding success. Moreover, her genuine care and understanding for our volunteers and the families we support have fostered an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. Her ability to seamlessly bring together people, businesses, and community supporters has been a cornerstone of our charity’s achievements.
A True Community Champion
Beyond her professional contributions, Tracy is a well-known community figure. Her involvement extends far beyond the office walls – she sings in a local choir, plays tennis and supports her church. Tracy’s commitment to building connections and nurturing strong relationships has not only raised the profile of Home-Start but has also enriched the lives of many in our local community.
A Lasting Legacy
As we bid farewell to Tracy’s day-to-day presence, we recognise that her legacy is woven into every event, partnership, and friendship she has nurtured over the years. The Home-Start team will deeply miss her unwavering support, infectious enthusiasm, and the warm presence she brought to our community. Although her retirement marks the end of an era, Tracy has hinted that she may pop up at some of our events, as a participant or volunteer, who knows… proving that once Home-Start gets into your blood, it’s hard to leave.
