The second exciting and informative talk in the Royston Wildlife Group programme, part of the Friends of Therfield Heath & Greens, will be on Tuesday 28th October with an illustrated presentation by Andrew Wood titled ‘Hertfordshire Butterflies – 40 years of change.’
Andrew Wood is the Butterfly Recorder for Hertfordshire and is responsible for coordinating all the butterfly recording activity in the county, both through various organised schemes and more informally. He has a lifelong interest in butterflies and is the author of “The Butterflies of Hertfordshire and Middlesex” published by Hertfordshire Natural History Society and the “Report on Butterflies in Hertfordshire and Middlesex” published each year by Butterfly Conservation.
Our presentations take place on the last Tuesday of each month. We gather at 7.30pm in the Heritage Hall at the Town Hall in Royston for an unforgettable evening of wildlife discovery. We believe in making wildlife education accessible to all, which is why the admission prices are remarkably affordable and it is FREE FOR UNDER 18s.
For Friends of Therfield Heath members and existing Royston Wildlife Group members it’s just £4 per session, while non-members can attend for £5. No need to book, just turn up. We always have a raffle so if you have something suitable that you could provide as a prize we would be very grateful.
