Friends of Therfield Heath
Nearly half way through the year and at the time of writing this, and we are all looking forward to more freedom from lockdown. However, Therfield Heath has continued for many of us to be a place of enjoyment, and recharging our “batteries”.
The committee of The Friends were delighted to receive the many lovely comments regarding the Easter Trail held on the Heath from Good Friday to Easter Monday. Thank you to all those who took part and enjoyed it.
Litter on Therfield Heath still concerns us, so there will be another litter pick on Sunday 9th May. Litter picking equipment is provided. We all know that in wet weather the paths and slopes can be slippery, so please remember we need to dress appropriately.
We hope to offer a birdsong walk this month and a flower / tree identification walk in June, please see our website for details. Only a few places on each event so please book early.
We are also involved in preparing a leaflet and booklet about Therfield Heath, if you have any pictures or memories, you would like to share with us, we would be pleased to hear from you.
