Royston Health Walks is an independent social walking group. They have a number of different walks every Wednesday, all of which start at The Heath Café, Baldock Road, Royston, SG8 5BG.
There are TWO walks at 10am, a leisurely walk over Therfield Heath covering about 1½ miles and a slow/flat walk. Both are opportunities to get a bit of exercise, have a chat and meet new people. The groups come together at the Café for a brew around 11am, Please feel free to join in even if it’s just for the brew.
The Wednesday afternoon walks start at 2pm from October to April, and then in May the time changes to 5pm, until September.
Again, there are two options: one is a little longer and a bit more challenging (about 2 miles), and new for 2025, a leisurely afternoon walk. This is very similar to the morning walk but there are times when they start with the more challenging walk group and then split off. Both groups meet up afterwards for their brew at the Heath Café.
The group meets in the passageway between the car park and Café. Please feel free to come to either morning or afternoon, or indeed both, and tell your friends! Everyone’s welcome, the more the merrier.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to join in regardless of age, level of fitness and in principle state of health, even if it’s only for the refreshments.

Royston Health Walks will be running its annual Pasque Flower walk on Wednesday 2nd April starting at 2pm from the Heath Café, Royston.
This is a fairly challenging walk (3 miles round trip) which ends up back at the Heath Café for a brew. Please feel free to join us, it’s free (except the brew) and everyone’s welcome. We meet in the passageway between the car park and the café.
