Community News – May News from Royston Library…

May is Hertfordshire Libraries “Explore Your Archives” month and we have the following activities on offer at the library.

Royston Museum will be visiting on Wednesday 29th May 2-3.30pm. There will be an opportunity to meet the staff and explore artifacts from the museum’s handling collection.

Children and adults are welcome. There will also be a display of our collection of photographs of Royston from days gone by which will run throughout the month in the Local History area of the library. Our Tuesday Chatter social group, for those new to Royston or who simply want to have a chat and a cuppa, will be treated to a talk by Emma from Royston Cave on Tues 28th May 2-2.30pm. Donations are welcome.

There will be a special spring Growing into Reading Storytime on Wednesday 8th May at 4pm. There will be free bookmarks and seeds to take home and grow. Suitable for under 8s, the session is FREE but donations are welcomed.

On Saturday 11th May 2-3pm children are invited to “Build A New Town For Hertfordshire” at our LEGO Club. The session is £4 per child and is for children aged 5-10. Book at the library.
