Established in 2018, the Friends have been working alongside the Conservators of Therfield Heath and Greens to promote and encourage the
use of, and access to, Therfield Heath.
Since then the number of events we arrange, the size of our website and our social media presence has grown. We currently have a loyal following of around 100 members who care about Therfield Heath and the local environment. The Friends is run by a small committee. In 2025 we are aiming to develop the way that we communicate with our members and wider community. We need help and skills to carry out our plans.
Can you help us to contribute to the success of this small local charity?
We are looking for several people to help us on a voluntary basis, working with members of the FOTH committee to;
• Help organise events, especially our annual quiz night on Friday 21st March 2025.
• Refresh our website and make it look friendly, appealing and up to date (It is a Weebly website).
• Be our “go to” person for everything Facebook and Instagram – we need to set up FOTH on Instagram and keep us up to date.
Do you have the skills to support The Friends? It doesn’t matter if you are a member or not. Maybe you are a student, working or retired.
If you have the skills and a few hours to devote to FOTH each month, we are eager to hear from you. Email friendsoftherfieldheath@gmail.com so we
can arrange a face to face chat at a time that works for you.
All monies made by our fundraising events goes to projects that support Therfield Heath, a Site of Special Scientific Interest as well as a great
area to relax, exercise, walk and appreciate nature.
