Buntingford Railway and Local History Society

Buntingford Railway and Local History Society founded  January 1995.  Aims of the Society to revive the memories of the old railway called The Buntingford Branch and to compile and document the historic and ongoing events of the Buntingford District.  Members receive a quarterly magazine - The Bunt.

It is free for members but non members are £2 each.  Meeting at The Crown Market Square Buntingford on the 3rd Friday of each month 8-9.45pm.

Bassingbourn Community Library

Bassingbourn Community Library consists of over 4000 books to lend including the latest popular fiction, large print fiction, books for Children of all ages and a local interest reference section.

Through the Cambridgeshire County Library we can order almost any book you may need free of charge and, as a member of the County Library there is access to the Library's online services.

To find out more please call in at the Old School Community Centre, High Street, Bassingbourn SG8 5LD where our friendly Volunteers will be able to help you.

There is a Cafe, free wifi and children’s toys.

We are open Monday 2pm - 4.30pm Thursday 2pm - 4.30pm & 6pm - 8pm Saturday 10am - 12pm

We play every Thursday night at Bassingbourn Village College from 8pm to 10pm..

£3 per session and we do offer free taster sessions. Annual subscription options are available.

The club regularly enters teams into a local friendly league.
