Alzheimer’s Society – Memory Support Hertfordshire

Reach out to Alzheimer’s Society for help with any memory concerns. Available services for those living with memory problems and dementia, their relatives and unpaid carers:

  • One to one support, information and guidance:  Memory Support Hertfordshire is the first point of contact to access memory concern and dementia related local services and help, please contact 0300 131 3946 or email: info@memorysupportherts.org.uk
  • Dementia support, memory difficulty activity and peer support groups: Existing groups in Letchworth and Stevenage, with plans to deliver new groups in Hitchin and Royston. If you are interested in attending or finding out more, please contact 01279 427522 or email Herts@alzheimers.org.uk
  • Young Onset Dementia service: for younger people diagnosed with dementia and their unpaid carers including social and respite groups with the opportunity to have your say about services and how we develop them. Melbourn Walking Netball

Walking netball is suitable for all levels and abilities.

The group play 7.30-8.15pm on Tuesdays at Melbourn Village College term time only.

£2 per session which includes regular netball if you'd like to stay. (Regular Netball takes place straight afterwards, 8-9pm)

Standon Embroidery Group

The monthly Standon Embroidery Group is seeking new members as it has several vacancies.  The group meets on the second Tuesday of the month in Standon Village Hall,  2-4pm under the expert tutor Julie Walsby. £7 per person per month which includes the cost of hiring the hall. Pop along and learn the art of hand embroidery.

Offering opportunities to join in with free or low cost activities in Royston to improve and support your physical and emotional health and wellbeing.
