Windows 10 is going end-of-life in October 2025
This is when Microsoft will officially end its support. This means the system will no longer get security updates or fixes, leaving it more vulnerable to viruses and hackers. Your computer won’t suddenly stop working, but it will become less safe over time. Many older devices running Windows 10 may not meet the requirements for Windows 11, so some people might need to upgrade their hardware too. If you’re unsure what version you’re on, check in your settings. Planning ahead is key – and if you need help, contact Format Computer Services for advice on upgrading or replacing your device. We’re locally based here in Royston.
