Business News: From Neighbours to Networkers – The Story Behind ‘Just Women’ Royston’s New Networking Group

A new and inclusive networking group for women, Just Women, has launched in Royston, offering a welcoming space for women at all stages of life to connect, share stories, and build business networks.

Founded by Diane Faben and Suzanne Porter, the group meets monthly at The Woodman Inn in Nuthampstead and is already gaining momentum as a unique forum for connection and support.

Diane and Suzanne met as neighbours and soon discovered a shared desire to expand their networks with other women. The idea for Just Women was born when the duo attended a business networking meeting at The Woodman Inn and identified the venue as an ideal setting to host a women-focused group. With a welcoming atmosphere and plenty of space, the location provided the perfect backdrop to launch their initiative.

Since January, Just Women has been providing a platform where women can engage in meaningful conversations without the typical networking pressures. Unlike traditional networking events where attendees awkwardly stand around balancing coffee cups, Just Women’s format encourages seated discussions, allowing participants to focus on engaging with one another, sharing stories, and learning from each other’s experiences.

Each month, the group features guest speakers covering a variety of topics, ranging from business advice to health and wellness. Participants are also invited to give a short presentation about themselves and their businesses through the ‘Just Me’ segment, fostering a supportive environment for personal and professional growth.

Just Women meets on the third Tuesday of every month from 10 to 11.30am at The Woodman Inn, Nuthampstead, Royston, SG8 8NB. With child-friendly hours and plenty of toys to keep little ones entertained, the group is accessible to women juggling family and business responsibilities.

Due to growing interest, Just Women is expanding to a second group in Waresley, set to launch in June.
