The Listing spoke to Jamie Wells, partner at Movewells and Simply Shredding, Royston. As well as residential moves, which team Listing have all used, Movewells have undertaken moves for local businesses: helping Dysons move out, moving cabinets for Royston Museum and Bow Books, moving Ensum Brown owner Neil Wise, and helping out with community projects moving cable reel drums for Icknield Walk and Studlands Rise First Schools.
MoveWells Removals & Storage is a family removals business based in Steeple Morden, specialising in domestic and commercial moves for their happy customers.
They move their clients locally or to the other side of the country and sometimes into Europe. They operate large trucks, down to Luton vans, subject to clients’ requirements.

Movewells also undertake commercial moves. Since Covid, more companies have downsized or have staff working remotely so they have downscaled offices and recycled furniture.
Storage-wise, Movewells have over 300 wooden containers and 40 self store metal containers, and continue to grow to service the demand.
They have four franchises of Simply Shredding, where they offer three levels of service to any business or home shredding client, no matter the size of the job. These range from supplying bags for clients to fill, or delivering wheelie bins or even installing office consoles. They are happy to perform a one-time collection of old records or provide a regular monthly or bi-monthly service. They provide a certificate of destruction and are fully GDPR compliant. The Listing have used the shredding services, and found the service great value, easy and efficient.
The Removals & Shredding tie in together, as many shredding clients are having a clear out before they’ve found a removal company to move them, and they also offer shredding to removal clients, who had not yet thought about securely destroying their paperwork.
