Royston Museum Highlights with Emma – What’s On Throughout July

Thank you to everyone who visited our Green Festival last month.

Organised in partnership with Royston Environmental Group, we were joined by 7 other local organisations to explore how we can tackle climate change, protect nature and make little swaps for good.

We also opened two new exhibitions last month including the ‘Our World’ Young Artist Exhibition. The exhibition is a celebration of our planet and how we can work together to protect it and includes work by young artists aged 3 to 17. It’ll run until September.

We’re kicking July off by stepping back in time for our Anglo-Saxon Day on Sunday 6th July! Visitors can get hands-on with history as we explore how people lived over a thousand years ago.

Our other upcoming events include:

  • Museum Tots on Wednesday 2nd July is all about holidays.
  • Spark! Art Club for young people aged 11 to 14 continues on Thursday 11th July.
  • Enjoy an evening of Music at the Museum on Friday 11th July, hosted by the Friends of Royston Museum.
  • Relax at our Craft and Cava evening on Friday 18th July.
  • Discover Royston during the Roman period in our next fascinating talk on Wednesday 23rd July.

Plus, over the summer holidays, your mission – should you choose to accept it – is to train as a top-secret agent at Secrets and Spies! Each week features a different spy skill – from decoding and disguise to stealth and surveillance.
