Open Woodturning Gallery & Sale –Â This is now the fifth year that this event has taken place.
Rowland Penfold has for many years exhibited his work at Curwens Gallery in the High Street. This year he is once again opening a Pop-up Gallery in Heathfield, Royston for three weekends in July. On offer will be his individual style of wood turning which includes a variety of native timbers often including other materials to enhance the final effect. He uses timbers that many other woodturners would possibly ignore which helps to create unique pieces. He always uses ethically sourced timbers which often include what can only be described as ‘botanical roadkill’. Rowland’s work makes delightful presents for all occasions.
This event will take place at 7 Heathfield, Royston, SG8 5BW on the following dates between 10-5pm:-
Friday 15th, Saturday 16th, Sunday 17th, Friday 22nd, Saturday 23rd, Sunday 24th, Friday 29th, Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st July 2022
On offer will be a range of items together with unique and high quality woodturned items including bowls, platters and vases.
These make ideal presents and gifts for any anniversary or occasion. The many items on offer are mainly made from native timbers many of which are from local trees.
A donation will be made to a local charity at the end of the exhibition and sale.
