Out and About… Royston May Fayre Returns
There will once again be fun for all the family with activities including children’s fairground rides, bouncy castles and miniature train rides. Come along and try out our free attractions ‘Last Man Standing’ and ‘Punch & Judy’ and be entertained by ‘Professor Crump’. Other features include the very popular Novelty Dog Show and the Historical Vehicle Show, plus charity side stalls.
Refreshments include a hog roast, hot dogs, churros, retro sweets, street food and more, plus a licensed bar. Royston Town Band will be providing musical entertainment throughout the day and there will be an arena where local dance and theatre groups will perform. There is still time for local charities to apply for a pitch at the event and the application form can be found on the Town Council website: roystontowncouncil.gov.uk.
Royston Town Mayor, Cllr Mark Hughes said ‘After the challenges of the last couple of years, I am sure that we are all looking forward to the return of the May Fayre, traditionally seen as one of the premier events for the town. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun and spend an afternoon relaxing with friends and family. Visit the stalls, grab something to eat and drink and discover what is good about our town.’
