Discover Cambridge inventions past and present alongside some unmissable tours this September as Open Cambridge welcomes the public once again.

Culture lovers can look forward to the return of Open Cambridge, part of the national Heritage Open Days scheme, which takes place from 9th-18th September and boasts a cracking series of free walks, talks, tours, and online events. The aim is to celebrate the heritage, community and history of one of the world’s most iconic cities.

Discover Cambridge Central Mosque!
Various times, Sat 10th, Sat 17th and Sun 18th September
Guided tours take you from the hustle and bustle of the world famous Mill Road on a transformative voyage… Journey through the garden’s trees, flower beds and fountain, before passing through the portico and atrium, via ablution areas, cleansed and ready to enter the grand prayer hall: an oasis of calm, and the perfect space for spiritual contemplation. Marvel at the award winning architecture, and explore the evolution of this eco-friendly project.

Discover Wolfson’s Gardens: Tree Trail
10am-4pm daily from Friday 9th until Sunday 18th September
Wolfson is well known for its glorious Judas Tree, but there are many other wonderful trees onsite, many of which are part of a Tree Trail.
Collect a Tree Trail from the Porters’ Lodge and enjoy the beautiful and varied garden ‘rooms’ of Wolfson College at your own pace.

Sustainable YOU at Eddington
10am-3pm on Saturday 10th September
Eddington, the new neighbourhood in Cambridge, hosts a family friendly event where you can learn tips to lead a more sustainable life. Discover the intricate details of nature and wildlife in the popular Ecology walking tours; explore Cambridge’s Vegan Market and take on some energetic cycling challenges: these activities and many more are open to the community.
