Eco Church – Design a Bug Competition
The Eco Church committee of Royston Parish Church are holding a “Design a Bug Church” competition during March to try to engage the young people of Royston with thinking of things they can do to help wildlife and promote biodiversity.
The competition is open to primary school aged children, and we are asking them to design a wildlife stack full of features that creepy crawlies and bugs would like to make their homes in, to inspire us with the design for an actual wildlife stack (“Bug Church”) to be built in Royston Churchyard. Entrants should add notes to their design to explain what the different parts are made from and what wildlife you hope each element will attract.
The winner of the first prize will not only get to have their design used in the actual “bug church” but they will receive a smaller bug hotel of their very own, plus a wildlife book. There are also exciting Runner Up prizes.
The competition is running from now until 31st March 2022.
